Getting started

1. Install the server. Run the installer on the Windows computer that will record video. Wait for the installation to finish; the server starts by itself.
2. Get a license. On the server open "Netview — computer fingerprint" in the Start menu and send us the file. We will send a license key. Enter it in the client: "Settings → License".
3. Install the client on a workstation and connect to the server. The default login is the user Admin. Set your own password right after signing in.
4. Add cameras. "Add device" finds Hikvision and Dahua recorders and cameras and any ONVIF devices. If you use Trassir, use "Import from Trassir".
5. Open it on your phone. In the phone browser enter http://server-address:port/m/ and add the page to your home screen.

Updates

The client checks for a new version 30 seconds after start and every 6 hours. When one is out, an "Update available" window appears: update now, remind later or skip. The server downloads the update itself and offers the administrator to install it. Installing the server interrupts recording for 1–2 minutes, so it is never automatic.

Network update checks work from version 0.5.124. If your version is older, install the current one manually once; after that everything updates by itself.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) for the client and the server.
• Server: an always-on computer, space for the archive (count by cameras and recording depth), a stable network to the cameras. The calculation is on the Netview page.
• To watch over the internet you need a server address reachable from outside, or our cloud (coming soon).
